Boiler Repair in Purley
If your boiler has stopped, you want it looked at today, not next week. We diagnose the fault for a set fee, tell you what the repair costs before we do it, and carry the parts that fail most often on the van.
Covering about five miles from Purley, across the south London and Surrey border. Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm. Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 5pm.
What is included
- A diagnostic fee, told to you on the phone before we come out
- Full fault diagnosis with the readings explained in plain English
- The repair price agreed with you before any work starts
- Common parts carried on the van: pumps, diverter valves, PCBs, fans and sensors
- A gas safety check on the appliance while we are there
- An honest answer when a repair is not worth doing
Faults we get called out to most
Ring us with the make, model and what it is doing, and we can usually tell you which of these it is before anyone sets off.
- Low pressure and the boiler locking out. Often a top-up job you can do yourself in two minutes, and we will talk you through it on the phone for nothing. If it keeps dropping, there is a leak or the expansion vessel has gone.
- Heating works but no hot water, or the other way round. Nearly always the diverter valve on a combi.
- Banging, gurgling or kettling noises. Sludge or scale in the heat exchanger. Ignoring it shortens the life of the boiler.
- The boiler fires then cuts out after a minute. Usually a blocked condensate pipe in winter, a fan fault, or a flame sensing problem.
- Radiators cold while the boiler runs hot. Pump, motorised valve or a badly blocked system rather than the boiler itself.
- It has stopped completely with no display. Check the fused spur and the programmer before you ring anybody. It is free to look and it is the fault about one call in twenty turns out to be.
What it costs
We give you a fixed price in writing once we have seen the job. These are the things that change the number, so you know what we will be looking at.
- A diagnostic fee covers coming out and finding the fault properly. It is a set figure, not an hourly rate that runs up while we work, and you are told it on the phone before we set off.
- Whether the part is one we carry on the van or one we have to order in, which is the difference between one visit and two.
- Which part has failed. A thermocouple and a main circuit board are not the same conversation.
- If you go ahead with the repair on the same visit, the diagnostic fee comes off the repair price.
- If the boiler is not economic to repair we will say so, and we will not charge you for a quote on a replacement.
Ring 07947 909074 and we will give you a realistic range over the phone before anyone comes out.
How it works
Call us
Tell us the make, the model and what it is doing. Half the time we can tell you over the phone whether it is something you can reset yourself.
Diagnosis
We test properly rather than guessing at a part. You get told what has failed and why.
Your decision
We give you the repair price. You decide. Nothing gets fitted without you agreeing to it first.
Repair and test
If we have the part, it goes on that visit. We then run the boiler up and check it under load before we leave.
Who is doing the work
Every boiler repair job is carried out by a registered engineer working under the following.

Recent boiler repair customers
Brilliant company - Steve and Charlie are knowledgeable, reliable, friendly and clean and tidy! Rare in most trades. Recommended to all my friends and family and will use again. Thanks for being amazing. Had major building work done and nothing was too much trouble, new boiler, new bathrooms, new water pipes.Frances20101
Had a rat problem at my elderly nans house & found the bath waste had a huge hole in it. Steve Came round at short notice , replaced it. Clean tidy great job at a very reasonable priceJamie Spencer
After being messed around by a different company, we were recommended Go Fix and we couldn't be happier with the work they have done. Friendly, clean and they turned up everyday on time which seems hard to come by these days.Brad
Common questions
How quickly can you get to me in an emergency?
For no heat or no hot water we aim to be with you the same working day if you call before midday, and next working day otherwise. Vulnerable customers and complete heating failures in winter go to the front of the queue.
Do you charge for callouts?
We charge a set diagnostic fee and you are told the figure on the phone before we come out, never afterwards. There is no hidden hourly rate on top. If you go ahead with the repair on the same visit, the diagnostic fee comes off the repair price.
What if my boiler cannot be repaired?
We tell you straight, and we tell you why. If the part is obsolete or the repair costs more than the boiler is worth, you get that in plain terms along with what a replacement would cost. There is no charge for that conversation.
My boiler is showing an error code, what does it mean?
Error codes differ by manufacturer, so ring us with the make, model and code and we will tell you what it points at. Some are a low pressure fault you can top up yourself in two minutes, which we will happily talk you through for free.
Do you repair boilers you did not install?
Yes. Most of our repair work is on boilers fitted by somebody else. We work on all the common domestic gas brands.
Will a repair invalidate my warranty?
No, as long as it is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer and logged properly, which is what we do. If your boiler is still inside its manufacturer warranty, tell us, because the manufacturer may need to attend instead and it would cost you nothing.
